On June 28, 2018, Tahawy secured a contract for 140 Freight Wagons for Egyptian National Railways: 125 flat wagons and 15 brake vans.
The freight wagons used Amsted Rail Motion Control bogies with 25-ton axle-load capability, supporting heavy-duty container and freight movement on the ENR network.
This programme is part of Tahawy’s long-running freight-wagon work linking proven international running-gear technology with Egyptian railway requirements.
