The 1,000 Freight Wagons programme is the largest freight-wagon project in decades in the Egyptian market.
All wagons in the programme use Amsted Rail Motion Control bogies and Amsted automatic couplers, continuing the same Amsted running-gear standard used across Tahawy’s freight-wagon projects since the 140 Freight Wagons programme.
The programme is built by SEMAF for Egyptian National Railways, with Tahawy Rail coordinating Amsted Rail freight technology, supply and local production support.
