Product overview
Ganz Motor Kft (Hungary) manufactures the Ganz Modular Bogie Family, covering gauges from 1,000 to 1,676 mm across seven series. Trailer bogies for passenger and power-generator coaches include the tread-braked Unified series and the disc-braked 165.2-40 — axle loads of 10–14 t nominal (16 t max) and 920/840 mm wheel diameters.
Tahawy has supplied about 1,000 Ganz bogies to Egyptian National Railways since 1980, and the 2023 framework with Ganz Motor and NERIC covers technology transfer and local manufacturing of a 160 km/h Ganz trailer bogie for the 500 Passenger Coaches programme.
