More than 5,000 Spanish passenger coaches supplied to ENR between 1991 and 2003, including pioneering sleeping coaches.
Between 1991 and 2003, Tahawy supplied more than 5,000 Spanish passenger coaches of multiple types to Egyptian National Railways. The programmes included Spanish sleeping coaches that were the first of their kind in Egypt.
The scale and success of the programme earned recognition from King Juan Carlos I of Spain and established one of the defining passenger-fleet references in Tahawy’s history.
